Can I bring a non-beading companion with me?
Absolutely! There are plenty of activities in the local area to keep non-beading companions busy (see venue details). They are also welcome to join us at group dinners.
What do I do about meals?
Lunch and morning and afternoon tea/coffee are included (for all 3 days). We will organise group dinners at the venue, which are optional depending on your preference. We can also recommend other restaurants to visit. Evening meals are not included in the price of the classes.
Do I have to stay at the venue?
No. Whilst you may find it easier and more convenient to stay here, as well as feel more part of the group, you are free to stay anywhere else. Please contact us if you would like any recommendations.
What is included in the fee?
3 days of classes and all hand-outs
lunch and tea/ coffee on class days
a visit to the Jardins de Valloires
How do I get to the venue?
The venue is in northern France approx. 60-75 minutes drive from the ferry ports at Calais or Boulogne or Euro-Tunnel. Detailed driving directions from the ports will be sent out with your confirmation. It is also possible to book a trail trip to the nearest station (Abbeville) from the Uk using Eurostar and Rail Europe. we can then arrange to pick you up at the station. If you have any other transport questions or concerns, please contact us.
What language will the classes be in?
Classes are taught in English. However, previous events have shown that with the mix of teachers, students, countries of origin and languages spoken, it will be a mixed affair - so don't let a lack of confidence in English put you off. Liz speaks fairly good French and Jean has a go (with mixed results!).
What do I need to bring?
A full list of requirements for the classes will be sent to you with confirmation of your booking.
