Beading Retreats

All classes will take place in the Auberge du Gros Tilleul, which is situated in Picardie, northern France.

The name of this hotel translates as 'the inn of the large lime' after the wonderful tree directly outside. Set in a quiet village, this small hotel is a great venue for anyone wanting a break from it all.

The hotel is very pleasant with a restaurant, bar, outdoor seating, outdoor swimming pool and garden. The village is quiet with lots of lovely places to walk and explore but no local shops etc. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the Abbaye De Valloires, and a visit to the Abbey gardens is included in the event.

If you would like to extend your stay, or bring a non-beading companion, there are many other things to do in the area within a short drive. Examples include:
- golf at Nampont
- beach resort at Le Touquet
- the local towns of Hesdin, Abbeville and Berck
- Crecy Forest
- the walled town of Montreuil-Sur-Mer
- battlefields of the Somme and war memorials

Slightly further away (approx 1-2 hours drive) are:
- Amiens
- Lille
- Rouen

Group evening meals will be arranged at the venue, which you are welcome to join.
